I do research in my genealogy in Bohemia (now Czech Republic), Lithuania before 1945, Brandenburg, Silesia (now Poland) to 1945. I do research in Germany, especially in Brandenburg, Berlin, Saxony and Vogtland (part of Saxony), Franconia, Thuringia.

I searching for the descendants of my ancestors in New York City. My ancestor was Ernst Oscar MAY, born 2/27/1838 in Meissen, Saxony, Germany, father: Ernst Julius MAY, mother: Henriette WEBER, emigration: 1866). He was the uncle of my grandfather.
The first wife of Oscar was Ernestine Louise Auguste NEUMANN. She was the oldest daughter of John Benjamin NEUMANN. Oscar and Augusta were married on 16/01/1865 in Zittau, Saxony. The first son, Benjamin Ernst Curt, was born on 07/11/1865 in Zittau, Saxony. In 1866 the couple and their only son emigrated to New York on the ship "Allemannia".
The first wife Augusta was the mother of Alma (born 1867 New York) too. I think Augusta died before 1871 in NY.
I found his second wife in the New York Marriages 1686-1980. Groom's name: Oscar MAY, groom's birth date: 27 Feb 1838. The bride's name: Albertine H. FRIESE, bride's birth date: 13 Oct 1846. The marriage date: 03 Feb 1871 and marriage place: First German Presbyterian Church Rivington Street, New York, New York. Groom's father's name: Ernst MAY and groom's mother's name: Henriette WEBER. These are my great-great grandparents. Bride's father's name: Heinrich FRIESE and bride's mother's name: Henriette D.
